gmailThe many mail applications out there should be looking out for Google’s Gmail for they have just allowed the inclusion of inline pictures and not just as mere attachments. Microsoft Outlook has been under threat from Google when it announced Google apps, their cloud-based office look alike which rivaled the more commercial Microsoft Office product line. Google has been a major player in the open-source development of the cloud. Along with Apple’s Appstore, with the thousands of apps available, they are continuing to improve their products that are managing to rival the many commercially developed software on the internet. Seems the Open-source workplace has been hard trying to oust the monopoly of commercial developers with Google’s Chrome and Mozilla’s FireFox in the freeware arena, Web applications are going to be a part of the world for many years to come as the social web takes the control of their environemtn and changes the web forever.
